The Killer Elite: Buddy?
CIA operatives and playboy bachelors Robert Duvall (George) and James Caan (Mike) play the perfect pair until an unexpected break up. Now recovering from a knee and elbow injury, Mike dives head first into martial arts and adapting to his new (dis)abilities to reclaim his #1 agent status. Tasked with bodyguard/protection duties for a Japanese politico, Mike builds a team with weapons and transport expertise (read: sweet hot rod and high powered guns). Somehow there's a ninja duel on a rusting wwII era battleship.

Heat: pretty sweet
A crack team of no-goods (Val Kilmer, Rob DeNiro, Tom Sizemore, Danny Trejo, etc) knock over (heh) an armored car with technical precision, until something goes wrong with the weakest link.
An experienced detective (Albert Pacino) can read the writing on the wall and it isn't the scribbles of an amateur tagger - it's the Sistine chapel of experienced con men and he's hot on the case.

Out of Sight: THE 90S
Ving Rhames, J.Lo, George Clooney, Don Cheedle, James Gandolfini and a cast of most of the late-90s regulars play in this story of a serial bank robber and the federal agent he met in the trunk of a car. After meeting up with a wealthy white collar criminal, jack foley (George Clooney), lays a plan to knock over the rich dude. A prison break and federal task force later Foley and his buddies head to Detroit to hatch the job. Maurice "Snoopy/Mad Dog" Miller - a former prize fighter and former jailmate - also knows about the rich old dude in motor city. It's possible there's a shootout or two and some romantic mushy stuff. Great date movie.
