Now, while your thin board bird is drying, cut out a disc (mine was 18"D) and paint it any color (mine was pavement grey).
After the disk is good and dry, take a strand of holiday lights (of the smaller variety) and use a staple gun or something of that sort to attach them to the disk. Make sure to keep the lights close together, so when you put the thin white board bird over the lights, they're covered. A good hint is to stencil or draw a pencil line around where the bird may fit on the disk.
Now, I hope you didn't totally destroy the paper cut-out on the band saw, so trim it down and cut out the eye hole. Use some scotch tape rings or some removable masking tape to attach the paper to the thin white bird board.
