Update from Autumn: Making my dog look cool (warm?) or Rufus + Pendleton = snuggles

I bought a light industrial sewing machine. I use it to sew manly things. The only problem is that it is difficult for me to sew straight lines. Therefore I have been working on little projects like this one:

I started with this (an old sweatshirt, some Pendleton wool)

 

And I made this

It looks like this flat:
